staycation
This has been the most amazing weekend thus far, and it’s only 2/3 of the way over. Heck, it’s just been a great week. While I was pretty bummed that I didn’t get to go backpacking like I had hoped to, it turns out that I made the right choice. My stay-at-home-vacation has been so damn much fun that I’m apparently going to write way too much about it, so here we go…
risk adverse?
Tomorrow my entire org is taking the day off of work to go white water rafting.
The water level tells me that it will be an absolute blast, and I’m really excited to go. But given most recent post-surgery pangs-of-mortality I’m doubting the wisdom of this endeavor. I’m normally moderately risk adverse; fear whilest rock climbing, jumping out of airplanes, pushing my body’s limits power lifting, etc. have never kept me from doing risky things at least once, if not several times.
