{"id":79,"date":"2008-05-09T19:20:18","date_gmt":"2008-05-10T03:20:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kmwoley.com\/blog\/?p=79"},"modified":"2008-05-09T19:20:18","modified_gmt":"2008-05-10T03:20:18","slug":"yellowbelly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kmwoley.com\/blog\/yellowbelly\/","title":{"rendered":"yellowbelly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The surgery went fine.&#160; The recovery is appearing to be going fine.&#160; It&#8217;s just the being laid-up part of it that sucks&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As an added bonus my abdomen is now a very unattractive color of yellow from what I&#8217;m presuming is iodine-based antibiotic&#8230; and, so far, doesn&#8217;t appear easy to wash off.<\/p>\n<p>And while I don&#8217;t feel that bad (a marginal 5\/10 on the happy-to-sad face chart) I also don&#8217;t feel that great.&#160; <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Oxycodone\" target=\"_blank\">Percocet<\/a> (be praised!) is likely the reason for feeling better than a 7, but unfortunately it does not do anything for the massive amounts of boredom I&#8217;m feeling at the moment.&#160; It&#8217;s beautiful outside, and so I&#8217;ve moved my sitting around to my front-porch where I&#8217;m enjoying the last hours of sunlight of the day.<\/p>\n<p>To dissuade my boredom I have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Called family &amp; friends, most of which were at work so couldn&#8217;t talk<\/li>\n<li>Read email (but thought answering might not be wise given how loopy I was feeling)<\/li>\n<li>Surfed the web (comix, facebook, blogs, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Watched TV (M.A.S.H., Smallville, The Office, and Cloverfield&#8230; and I can take no more.)<\/li>\n<li>Read parts of my most recent book &quot;Smart Choices&quot; which is not really a fun read, so put it aside.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Surely those aren&#8217;t all of my options&#8230; back to searching for butt-based entertainment&#8230;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The surgery went fine.&#160; The recovery is appearing to be going fine.&#160; It&#8217;s just the being laid-up part of it that sucks&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[38,37],"class_list":["post-79","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-personal","tag-boredom","tag-surgery"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/kmwoley.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/79","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/kmwoley.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/kmwoley.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/kmwoley.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/kmwoley.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=79"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/kmwoley.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/79\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/kmwoley.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=79"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/kmwoley.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=79"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/kmwoley.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=79"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
