This weekend was, in a word, awesome.\u00a0 In a few more words it was crowded, voyeuristic, and drunktacular…<\/p>\n

Fremont Summer Solstice festival:<\/strong><\/p>\n

naked bodies + body paint + insane creativity + bikes = awesome parade<\/span><\/p>\n

It is hard to know how else to describe it but that.\u00a0 Be warned, the pictures are mildly graphic and are thus private.<\/a> This is, yet again, another example of why Seattle is a great place to live.\u00a0 People here are just so free and relaxed, even the cops are down. The parade to welcome the summer solstice<\/a> has been going on for years, and the naked bikers just have started to become an “unofficial part” of the festivities.<\/a>\u00a0 Needless to say, a great way to start the day…<\/p>\n

5 Miles of Drunken (R|F)un:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sure, I’m not a runner.\u00a0 But if you tell me that you’re going on on a 5 mile run and stopping at 7 bars along the way, I’m so there!<\/em>\u00a0 After the parade, I headed out to join the Seattle Anti-Freeze Runners group on the run mapped below.\u00a0 Holy crap was that a great time!\u00a0 Best. Idea. Ever!\u00a0 Much thanks to Firewallender for forwarding me the invite to this lil gem, and for the SAF guys for putting it together.\u00a0 Pics of our drunken progression can be found in this unlisted album<\/a> as well as on Facebook.<\/p>\n

And then there was recovery…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Well, not really.\u00a0 I went on a hike with Andy today<\/a>, and then spent the evening at my first Lindy Hop lesson of the summer.\u00a0 I’m super excited about picking up Lindy again.\u00a0 After which, of course, we had to stick around and practice for a few hours.\u00a0<\/p>\n

You would expect that I would be tired, but not so much.\u00a0 All in all, this was a rock-star weekend. A+++.\u00a0 Would do it all again.<\/p>\n
