The Pros and Cons of being Anne Frank

The Salon of Shame is fantastic.  It’s a Capitol Hill institution that’s been around since 2005 based completely the shame, horror, laughter, and comradery that can be had when we “exploit our younger selves for your entertainment”.

The idea is simple: Seattleites stand before you and read their middle school diary passages, high school poetry, unsent letters, and other bits of horribly shameful, and inadvertently hilarious adolescent writing.

I missed the monthly opportunity this past week to go, but it reminded me of this gem that was read the first time I went.  Read and enjoy what the fifth-grade mind can come up with some, supposedly well-meaning teacher asks for the “pros and cons” list of what it’s like to be Anne Frank.
